In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya and school holidays, Sunway Lost World Of Tambun is hosting a celebration of all things Malaysian. The Malaysia First Lah celebration, which will run from now to 9 June, allows visitors to experience the wonders of local Malay culture, reminiscent of traditions, values, and customs, which Malaysian share in a true spirit of unity and Concord.

It is also my first time here at Sunway Lost World of Tambun, I am very excited to visit around the place and see what's activities await for me during this Raya holiday.

Experience Malaysia First Lah Raya celebration at Sunway Lost World of Tambun!

Among the many activities in store for visitors during the celebration period include the experience of Malay traditional games such as playing on a giant congkak board and participating in a hybrid game of Teng Teng with Snakes and Ladders. Promised to be all fun and exciting, the celebration will also feature the Humalaya Malayana meet and greet session as well as the Awesome Raya Pool Party to spice things up during the Raya festivities.

“Games and sports have a unique way to bring people together while creating and renewing bonds. This is why we are making fun games a big part of our Malaysia First Lah celebration, where families and friends can come together at Sunway Lost World Of Tambun and celebrate awesome moments with traditional Malay games,” said Nurul Nuzairi Mohd Azahari, General Manager of Sunway Lost World Of Tambun.

Meanwhile, when all the fun and games leave participants hungry, they can continue to bond while indulging in special food and beverage promotions at Sunway Lost World Of Tambun’s Dulang Tea House, with a specifically curated menu featuring traditional Malay favourites including Rendang Tok Daging, Rendang Ayam, Ketupat, Lemang, Nasi Impit, Tempoyak Ikan Patin, Ulam, and Air Bandung, Dodol and an assortment of Kuih Raya, guaranteed to whet any appetite, large or small.

“As Malaysians, we sometimes take for granted the rich, diverse heritage and legacy that we enjoy in this beautiful land. It is something that is unique to us, as it can be found nowhere else. Therefore, the responsibility lies on us to preserve and protect this heritage. The upcoming school holidays and Hari Raya is the perfect opportunity for us to do this right here at Lost World Of Tambun. While guests will certainly be in for a good time, they will also, more importantly, be part of a truly unique initiative which we all can share as Malaysians,” said Nurul Nuzairi Mohd Azahari, General Manager of Sunway Lost World Of Tambun.

We are able to witness the launch of Lost World Of Tambun’s Kuang Raya conservation program, the first of its kind in the country, officiated by Dato’ Abdul Kadir Bin Abu Hashim, the Director General of Wildlife and National Parks Department (PERHILITAN).

The attractively remarkable Kuang Raya, or Great Argus, is a pheasant species native to Southeast Asia, identified by its brown plumage, blue head and neck, rufous red upper breast, black hair-like feathers on its crown and nape, and red legs.

Due to ongoing natural habitat loss and hunting, conservation of this species is essential to its survival, which has led Sunway Lost World Of Tambun to take the lead in this regard, featuring a full-on conservation site on its grounds, where visitors can get up close and personal with these beauties.

While you are there here are some of their fun activities which are suitable for kids and family, where it covers train ride, a roller coaster ride for kids, and haunted chambers for teenagers.

In Sunway Lost World of Tambun, they have some really nice places for food and chill.

Meeting Juita the hippopotamus!

She sleeps during the day time and only active at night. It's so amazing to able to see it up close and underwater view. It looks like a big statue under the water which she is sleeping.

Even though she is sleeping but she will move up to breath every 5-10 minutes. We are super astonished how she manages to do it while she is still sleeping.

Be sure to stop back this Underwater view, that you can see hippopotamus and crocodile underwater.

Hyena on the move.

Pass by the hot spring and water park area too! Do you know that Sunway Lost World of Tambun also comes in Hot Spring area during the night, the crowds for the hot spring are rather crowded too.

Enjoying the view and fresh air around Sunway Lost World of Tambun!

We are having fun feeding the Girrafe just beside the event launching. Guess she is too hungry and only come for food and not for the camera haha!

Lastly, do check out Luminous Forest where it open from 8pm onwards but the queue outside can start at 7:30pm onwards.

I really enjoy myself during my visit to Sunway Lost World of Tambun. During this Raya Celebration, you can come to Sunway Lost World of Tambun to enjoy the Raya celebration here with all the activities they had prepared. Fill your stomach with all the yummy Malay delicate dishes, and end your night with a magical experience at Luminous Forest. Don't forget also to soak and relax in their night hot spring that opens until 11pm. The fire show starts from 9pm at the hot springs area is amazing too. Overall I have a really fun day at Sunway Lost World of Tambun!

About Sunway Lost World Of Tambun

Sunway Lost World Of Tambun is an action-packed, wholesome family adventure destination. This self-contained wonderland is cocooned within a lush tropical jungle consisting of natural hot springs, breathtaking limestone features and natural surroundings dating back over 400 million years! Painstakingly etched into this natural heritage are seven amazing attraction parks, coined by locals and foreigners alike to be the ultimate day and night destination for a unique family-friendly eco-adventure excursion.

Just a stone throw away is the Lost World Hotel, a perfect respite and snooze chamber after a long day of adventure. True to its name, Sunway Lost World Of Tambun offers not only a “lost paradise” that promises fun and wholesome experience for all ages but also a conducive learning environment with a range of fun-educational elements around the park.

It is the only theme park in Southeast Asia featuring natural hot springs coupled with an array of contemporary attractions and rides. Business entities and MICE groups will also find this resort a haven for team building activities, given its facilities which include seven specially curated functions rooms which offer a capacity ranging from 10 to 200 people.

A hidden gem within Malaysia, Sunway Lost World Of Tambun successfully converts what was previously a tin-mining wasteland into an iconic landmark, without encroaching into its natural surroundings – a site that’s historic, educational and entertaining at the same time, making it a must-visit site, unlike any other within the Southeast Asian region. This, among many others, truly befits Sunway Lost World Of Tambun’s mantra of being “More Than Just A Theme Park!”’
