Searching a Job in Malaysia is not easy. According to The Sun Daily Malaysia, there are currently 200,000 unemployed graduates in Malaysia. The number will not be decreasing but will continue to increase. Due to the economy in Malaysia is not really good, our MYR Rate drop and some of the company even start to fire people due to need of cutting cost of their company.

Since the economy and with the inflation as well, and salary not even increase that much to cover all the inflation in Malaysia. This makes graduates even hard to look for a job in Malaysia.

Understand what job you looking for

Before you started to look for a job, please make sure that you understand what is the job that you are looking for. I understand that some of you guys might think of send resume to any kind of job that suitable to work for now. But you also must that understand your current job requirement is very important and this determines your future work life in a certain company. If you plan to have a clean and nice resume, make sure you work in a company for 2-3 years that will be benefits you for your next job application.

Eg. Friend A works in the current company for 1 year then realize that this is not he wanted to achieve in the future. Now he is looking for a new job.

For my advice I will rather to spend more time to look for the job that you wanted. Rather than wasting time in certain company and thinking to leave anytime as you wish.

Know your expected salary well

Next, please don’t underestimate your salary should be in certain company. Know well how much salary you will get for diploma, degree, master certs. Make sure the company don’t underpay you but there are some company pay you for your experience in the certain work field as well. But you must know the company well also, depends on the revenue of the company each year and try not to demands for higher salary when you go for the first interview.

Eg. Friend B study for degree level in University but she gets the same salary as SPM level intake.

On Point Resume

Make sure you have a really clean and neat resume when you create your own resume for jobs application. This is the first thing that the HR will be reading and decide on whether to call you in for interview. Normally if you submit your resume online, the company will call you in for interview. Even some of the website will be mentioning how long the application process will be. In the meantime, continue to look for another suitable job and send your resume.

Eg. Make sure your resume is simple but yet it can bring out the personalities of you and able to attract the company to hire you.

Success on Interview

First thing is your attire to interview, try to be as formal as you can. But don't over dress yourself neither under dress too. Next is your passion and attitude during the interview session, the interviewer will actually see how much confident and how much passion you wanted to work in their company. Make sure you read some history of the company to earn some extra bonus mark for yourself. Don't panic, Be confident and smile!

Eg. Showing your passion working in the company is an extra mark for yourself too! But this must be the work that you dream of or even company you wanted to work at.

Best States for Jobs

There are so many ways and so many online website for job searching. You don't have to rely on certain states but you can always search online for vacancy in Kuching, Johor Bharu or even Malacca. I always think that don't limit your search jobs area, maybe you can find more job opportunities out there.
