It's been so long since I blog about travel on my blog. With the whole Covid-19 situation, basically, we can't really travel internationally. With the RMCO start, we can now start to plan our holiday within Malaysia first and when we can fly everywhere, we can start to plan for your next dream destination. Today's post is about my last year's Penang trip with my #CMNS gang, where we travel to Penang and have a 3 Days 2 Nights trip together. I know it has been so long since then, but since we are all can only travel locally, it's a good time to promote what to do in Penang!

My first time traveling to Penang by Train, it was quite a fun journey though. The journey is not as far or tired as I imagine will be. Me and Nicole we pretty much eat, sleep, and chit chat along the way.

Our first destination when we reach Penang visits this really nice new cafe called The Glasshouse, basically, it is open by The Prestige Hotel Penang, a full white appearance hotel building in which we all like it very much. We are here for lunch and enjoy some nice bonding together while waiting for Carinn from JB to reach Penang.

The food is here!! Can't really remember what we order but you can head over to Shin May's blog here for more info. But I do remember that I enjoy their fried rice very much and the sambal pastes too.

The buffet section, besides we get to enjoy their lunch and desserts. We can also enjoy some of their buffet, which you can have some salads, pastries and soup base on your own liking.

If you have known me well with such a pretty cafe interior I wouldn't miss any chance of taking some ootd here. But because Nicole and I, we are taking the train to Penang, therefore, we are basically lazy to do any makeup, haha! After we have checked in to our hotel, we head out to fetch Carinn. Due to its raining, we have no choice but to go to Gurney Plaza mall for dinner and shopping session.

Surprisingly they have so many nice boutiques to shop and take photo!

After a round of eating and shopping session with the girls, we decided to head back for a short while to chill and we do a small surprise birthday celebration for Shin May!! I still remember it was really funny where we trick Shin May, ended up Nicole and Carinn has been quietly headed out to buy cakes for Shin May. Since I'm in the same room with Shin May, I will be the middle man for them lah XD

After a small celebration, we head out again for bar hunting!! I didn't take many photos here because I was pretty lazy and tired. The bar itself was quite dark as well, not quite up to our expectations but we still having fun together. That night is a pouring night again after we come out from the bar, its raining cats and dogs outside. We waited for smaller rain and head back to the hotel later.

Here we are on Day 2 of our trip! Today we have quite a pack schedule where we will meet up with our Vietnam photographer friend and have a short photo shooting session with them. Breakfast like this in Penang is like a dream, all our favorite food that you can find in Penang!

475, Jalan Penang, George Town, 10450 George Town, Pulau Pinang

After our food, we go to our photoshopping destination. Not quite sure what's the street name, but here's where they have like morning market open beside the street. I saw this vintage building which caught my eyes and took some photos with the building.

We basically just on feet, we walked to some nearby areas and stop for photoshopping whenever we feel like we want to. Chew Jetty is nearby too hence here are some of the shots I take along the bridge. Since I'm really afraid of heights and I'm pretty frightened where the bridge is quite narrow but there were so many people walking in and out. Sitting on the edge of the bridge can be really frightening too! hahahaha

Some of my favorite photos from the photoshoot.

BFF shots. Thanks, Danang Snap. If you wish to take more nice photos when you travel to Vietnam please do reach out to them, where they are really friendly and fun photographers to work with. This is not our first time with them too, click here to see our Danang photoshoot we did with them.

After the photoshoot, time for lunch! We found a hidden gem, Flower Mulan Nyonya Cafe. To my surprise, I admit that I really love this cafe very much. The interior gives so much of mystery Nyonya vibes, which is very pretty and vintage, not forget that their food is so delicious too!!

Our sumptuous and delicious lunch which we all enjoy and love it so much. This is a two floors cafe where the first we came in, we only saw one table and quite shock whether we are in the wrong cafe or what. Ended up they have the second floor by the end of the first floor, it is so interesting that the cafe itself has so many vintage elements which I really like!

Their second-floor space is much bigger where you can have more space for dining and all. Each corner we went and see just give us surprise and excitement because every corner is just so pretty and delicate! The lightning inside the cafe is quite dim, manage to took some ootds here.

When we about to leave the boss gifted us a rose for each of us too! Not forget to mention, they have a florist shop space on the first floor too. After our lunch, we encounter another round of rain and head back to the hotel.

268, Jalan Burma, Pulau Tikus, 10350 George Town, Pulau Pinang

We are here at Cubo Park for our dinner. Overall Cubo Park is the new coolest is where you can take a lot of swag and nice photos here with your friends. I feel that evening to night time is the best time to come here to ๆ‰“ๅก. Check out the gloomy sky after the rain!

Simply just love every corner of Cubo Park, this is the famous spot where everyone will pose some swag pose in this area. Try to wear some nice and cool outfit when you are here so that you can take some nice cool swag photo for yourself. I love the old vintage decor and also the LED light that gives the extra bonus old and vintage vibes.

We also enjoy some nice Mookata while we are at Cubo Park too. Although the food from there is not as delicious as I was expected however we are all surely enjoy the food session we have with each other. Most of them are their first time having Mookata too!

There's so many nice and cool cafe for you to hang out and enjoy a nice yum cha session with your friends here! I feel that the night never sleeps when you are at Cubo Park.

I guess is the same with us, we continue our journey to Penang Avatar Secret Garden. Where you can view all these beautiful LED Lights hanging on the trees here at Penang Avatar Secret Garden. It was definitely not easy to shoot here but I'm surprised that all the photos turn out so nice here!

Guess which color of the light is my favorite?

We bring along a tripod and do the shooting of four of us too in Penang Avatar Secret Garden.

Here's the end of Day 2 of our Penang trip. I feel really contented with all the fun moments together with the #CMNS gang at Penang today. We do really have pack activities and I feel that each of the places we went to is so nice and we have so much fun together!

Last photoshoot at our hotel. (Click here for more info)

Just when I thought the bird's nest is mix inside the egg tart but it is not you have to pour the birds nest on top of the egg tart and enjoy it. The price is not really cheap though, and tbh I don't really quite liking it but I prefer to enjoy my bird nest in some other type of dessert but not with egg tarts.

On the last day of the Penang trip, we went hunting for Bird Nest Desserts. But due to we couldn't find any nearer parking nearby, so we just have the car park at the roadside and we just order take away those delicious Bird Nest egg tart from the cafe.

I find that Penang streets bring so much joy and excitement to see when I see it. I simply just love old and vintage building design.

Visit Le Cafe for a simple lunch with the girls before we head back.

First time trying toast for lunch! The filling of the toast is so sumptuous, and I can't really decide what filling I want. But all of their fillings are mostly savory and I love it! You can just grab and eat it as it is.

Just a few shops away from Le Cafe, we are here at Hin Bus Depot, a very nice and secluded place where you can also ๆ‰“ๅกand take a lot of nice photos here. It looks quite rusty and old, but I do love the vibes and how quiet this place is.

We can really get crazy when is just us together!

Although all three of us looks like wearing different, actually all of our tops are collaboration design from one of the Taobao store.

From Left: I am wearing Shin Chan, Shin May is Pokemon, and Carinn is Doraemon!

When you walk around this place, you will find a more nice and chill place to enjoy some nice breeze afternoon chill.

While we are they have a photo exhibition and both the photos taken in the exhibition.

Next stop! We are here at China house Cafe in Penang. It is a very famous and popular spot where you can find the join of cafes in just one street. Usually, people are here for the famous cake shop and are always full house and a lot of people are always queuing for their cakes!

Although this is not my first time here at China House, but coming in from a different entrance you get to see more here! This entire China ancient vibes just can't stop us from taking photo here.

Can't believe how tasty their cakes are! We take away their cakes and enjoy them while we taking the train back to KL.
