As a K-pop fan, do you know that the 32nd Seoul Music Awards is coming soon on the 19th of January 2023?! This is one of the longest-running awards ceremonies and will be held at the Olympic Park’s Olympic Gymnastic Arena in Seoul, South Korea. I'm really excited about this award and curious about which K-pop group or artist will win the awards at the 32nd Seoul Music Awards. With the pandemic slowing down, fans and the K-pop entertainment industry in South Korea kick start yet another series of awards ceremonies.
The Seoul Music Awards is one of the most significant annual music awards in the industry and has been hosted by the local newspaper Sports Seoul for the last 33 years starting from 1990. During the event, artists of all genres, including ballads, hip-hop, R&B, and bands, are honored for their professionalism and diversity over the past year.
You can vote at https://www.seoulmusicawards.com/vote for your favorite K-pop group/artist. As the official website announced a list of nominees on December 6, 2022. Some notable and highly-anticipated artists shortlisted to receive the Main Award (Bonsang) include BTS, (G)I-DLE, Lim Young-woong, Blackpink, Girls’ Generation, Twice, Ateez, Kang Daniel, and Monsta X.
I think this 32nd Seoul Music award is quite competitive because a new K-pop group - Newjeans from HYPE label company has really captured a lot of hearts of fans (including me). I do hope that they can win some awards, and continue to grow and shine brightly in the K-pop industry.
