Hello everyone, time passed so fast and its already October near to Christmas, have you achieved something that you have planned for early in the year?

Guess what, doing charity is always part of my Wishlist and I always hope there is a chance for me to take part in any charity event. For this month of Pink October month, I have come across that Neubodi, a Malaysian lingerie specialist brand officially launched its month-long “DONATE. SUPPORT. RECYCLE” Bra Drive campaign which will run until 5 November, in conjunction with the International Breast Cancer Awareness month.

On the official launch date 7th October 2017, Neubodi also organizes this “Pedal Forward with Neubodi” event and aimed at raising funds for the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA)’s “Hospital Angels” programme. The 18km cycling event is part of Neubodi’s yearly “Bra Drive” campaign.

Themed “DONATE. SUPPORT. RECYCLE”, the campaign is held in conjunction with the International Breast Cancer Awareness month and will see various Neubodi in-store activities organized from 5 October to 5 November.  With a goal of raising RM100, 000; over 100 Heroes cycling from Bandar Utama to Kota Damansara and finishing at 1Utama, commits to meeting an individual fundraising target of at least RM850 towards BCWA’s “Hospital Angels” programme.

Heroes that have joined by many local celebrities and public figures such as Puan Sri Dato’ Akmal, Amber Chia, Thanuja Ananthan, Isabelle Liow and many more – some with personal experience of living with breast cancer and yet others who have had dealt with or lost close ones to the disease.

The success of Neubodi’s DONATE. SUPPORT. RECYCLE Bra Drive campaign has been made possible with the support of strategic partners Excel SLA (M) Sdn.Bhd and 3 Gorgeous Network. Neubodi’s Bra Drive is being held for the fifth year and has to-date collected some six tonnes of bras. For ‘pioneering women welfare initiatives’, Neubodi Holdings Sdn.Bhd received KPWKM’s CSR Malaysia Award (SME Category) in July 2017.

In officiating the launch ceremony on Saturday, Mr. Shukri Abdullah, Deputy General, National Population and Family Development Board under the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM), congratulated Neubodi and BCWA’s partnership and commended them on their efforts to educate the public on breast cancer and breast health.

The highlight of the day included the official cheque donation to BCWA of over RM60,000 from Neubodi’s “Pedal Forward” initiative. In the morning itself, over 100 cyclists journeyed 18km, having had personally raised funds for a month prior to the event.

LifeLine Clothing Malaysia also takes part in this event launching. They are here to explain about how they recycle old garments after receive all the recycle garments.

About LifeLine Clothing Malaysia

LifeLine Clothing Malaysia is an international company that is a leader in the recycling industry worldwide. Having 4 offices span across 4 countries, Life Line Clothing Malaysia is a textile recycling company that has a global conscious mission to help communities reuse, renew and recycling clothing, shoes, toys and household goods. They are committed to keeping textile out of landfills, creating jobs here at home, and abroad. Their unique business model leaves an extremely small carbon footprint and a better planet for the next generation.

To further drive awareness amongst 1Utama shoppers, BCWA’s mobile clinic - equipped with early detection and support tools for clinical breast examination, and specialized booth offering counseling sessions on breast self-examination using customised silicone models, have been set up. Tropicana Medical Centre’s oncology specialists and health professionals are also on-hand to facilitate public understanding of breast cancer and conduct on-site basic health screening.

It's never too late to learn how to check breast cancer tissues for your breast. Every girl should at least learn how to check to prevent any serious cancer tissues form around your breast. I find the experience is really interesting and finally I learn the correct way to check at the event launch.

About Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia

According to the National Cancer Institute Malaysia, about 5,000 Malaysian women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and nearly half of those are under 50-years of age. With breast cancer being a “Gender Blind” disease, Neubodi wanted to use this opportunity to highlight that 1 out 1,000 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and less than 72% of men recover from the disease as doctor’s visit is made when symptoms are more severe - at which point Cancer may have already spread.

I never know that Neubodi is selling this wireless bra which is totally the bra I always love to wear. With price below than RM 100 and gives the maximum comfort and breast support that you need. Gonna get one for myself soon!

Neubodi’s famous “Bra Banks” is back! This Bra Bin will be available in all outlets nationwide from 5 October to 5 November for donors to drop off gently-used lingerie which will benefit girls and women in challenging circumstances including victims of sex trafficking and those in poverty. Items not suited for donation will be collected by Life Line Clothing to be converted into reusable solid fuel, helping to reduce landfill issues for the textile industry.

I have done my part, how about you?
