Kuala Lumpur – JONETZ by DON DON DONKI is pleased to announce the launch of Azuki Bar, a Japanese halal-certified ice cream that is now available in-store. In addition, JONETZ by DON DON DONKI is the very first retail store to launch this brand worldwide. 

Azuki Bar, a famous traditional Japanese ice cream made with Azuki red beans by the well-known confectioner, Imuraya Group has sold over 292 million pieces worldwide in 2020. This authentic Japanese dessert is now made from halal-certified ingredients, approved by JAKIM, and to be launched as the very first Halal-certified ice cream in Malaysia. Tailor-made to suit Malaysian tastebuds; the Azuki Bar is specially crafted using original Japanese recipes with carefully selected ingredients. It also has a long-lasting texture, allowing customers to enjoy the icy ice cream for a longer time.

 The Azuki Bar retails at RM4.50 and is available in three delicious flavors – Red Bean, Matcha, and Milk. Using the finest ingredients, the red bean variant is a classic, offering an authentic taste of Japan. The matcha flavor is a fan favorite and is coated with premium Uji matcha from Kyoto with tasty Azuki red bean filling while the milk flavor is the perfect combination of creamy milk paired with Azuki red beans.

In conjunction with the launch, JONETZ by DON DON DONKI is offering a limited-time offer where customers can enjoy a “buy 1, free 2” promotion from 30th September to 3rd October in store.

At the JONETZ by DON DON DONKI launch in March 2021, Satoshi Machida, President, Pan Pacific Retail Management (Malaysia) promised Malaysians that the outlet will expand its Muslim-friendly product range to enable customers to shop with peace of mind.
